Observation of the Day February 24, 2016 While some state boards of pharmacy claim they inspect compounding pharmacies every year if you in fact check their historical inspection records this is not the case and some pharmacies may not have been inspected in a number of years. Also as has been pointed about before, in some states such as Texas after the initial inspection they have previously allowed pharmacies to submit a letter indicating that the pharmacy has corrected problems and no follow up inspection is done to make sure the correction has in fact been made. So a report based on what state boards of pharmacy claim or state they do may or may not in fact be true.
