The team from Roadrunner Veterinary Pharmacy, a Veterinary Exclusive Compounding Pharmacy located in Arizona, attended the Commission meeting to explain their practice, discuss the needs of their current Connecticut customers and to request a carve out in the State regulations allowing for office use of Sterile compounds, particularly compounded controlled drugs. The Commission advised the Roadrunner Pharmacy leadership of the role, responsibilities and authority of this Commission and suggested alternate regulatory and legislative pathways to use in making their request. The task force will meet for the second time on second Tuesday of March and will give a full report at the next commission meeting.
