A Superior Court judge has ordered the reinstatement of the pharmacy license of a former state senator who had lost his right to disseminate drugs after repeated lapses in proper conduct, including mistakenly giving morphine to an infant and a toddler.
In 2013, state Health Director Michael Fine, in an unprecedented move, rejected a proposed settlement of the case ratified by the Board of Pharmacy and a hearing officer’s recommendation to suspend Leo Blais’ license for 2½ years.
