Question of the Day August 10, 2014 Compounding Pharmacies and the organizations that represent and support them then to argue they help when there is a drug shortage. However, from an economic stand point of supply and demand and impacting the cost of manfufacturers of drugs is there an argument that they also drive and cause the drug shortage by producing illegal compounds and violating laws and regulation to create a market for compounders and thus are not actually helping?
