2014 Could Be a Record Year For Drug Recalls, FDA Says

According to the Food and Drug Administration, there has been a growing trend related to the recall of pharmaceutical products that is now concerning the authorities.
In recent years, the recall rates of pharmaceutical products has been surging considerably. So far, 2014 has been one of the biggest years for major drug recalls, beating most of the other years throughout the decade.
The Food and Drug Administration often classifies recalls issued by pharmaceutical companies with the three classes system. Class I recall are associated with products that could cause a serious adverse health consequence risk. Class II recalls are associated with drugs that may expose consumers to temporary or medically reversible adverse consequences and Class III recalls are associated with drugs that may not pose any major or serious adverse health consequences.
