Texas Veterinary Medical Associaton Annual conference February 28-March 2, 2014

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Saddle up, partner, for the 2014 TVMA Annual ConferenceFebruary 28 – March 2 • College Station

PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
If you would like to attend the conference on site registration begins Thursday February 27th at 10:00 a.m. at the Hilton Hotel in College Station.

It’s easy to get into the spirit of the Old West when you come from simple and humble roots. The first TVMA Annual Conference was held in Fort Worth in 1903, making it the oldest veterinary meeting in Texas. Our organization strives to carry on Mark Francis' vision of a unified veterinary profession in the very place where he served as the first dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. Join us in College Station, where veterinarians and students gather to make lifelong connections in the birthplace of veterinary medicine in Texas. We’re homegrown and proud.
The 2014 Conference CE program features 84.5 hours of quality CE featuring great talent from one of the top veterinary schools in the country, Texas A&M University, plus other experts from around the U.S. Attendees can receive up to 23 CE credits by attending morning and evening lectures on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Suppliers will be on hand to visit with practitioners about the latest products, services and equipment.

Look for details in the Texas Veterinarian.
HOTEL ROOMS AT A PREMIUM IN COLLEGE STATION

Although the TVMA conference room block deadline is not until Thursday, February 6, we have been informed our conference hotels, the Hilton and the Homestead Suites in College Station, are completely sold out of rooms for Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1.

Due to an SEC Indoor Track and Field Meet, TAMU basketball games and the A&M Softball Invitational against UConn, most hotels in the area are sold out. If you plan to attend the TVMA Annual Conference and have NOT secured a hotel room, there is only one way to find availability in Bryan/College Station without calling every hotel in town. On the Bryan/College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau website (www.visitaggieland.com), there is a special feature entitled “Book a Room.” When you enter your arrival and departure dates, it searches the entire area for available hotel rooms. This feature is updated daily.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ellen Forsythe, CMP, at 512/452-4224 or eforsythe@tvma.org.
