ApotheCure was under investigation by the Florida Board of Pharmacy and "Voluntarily Relinquished" their Florida Pharmacy license rather than have it revoked. This outfit tried (and succeeded for a while) to outwit the Florida Department of Health by registering a 2nd pharmacy under a new corporate name with straw owners. As you will see in the attached complaint, NuVision Pharmacy is located at the same address as ApotheCure Pharmacy. NuVision also has the same employees, same products, and same client accounts.
It appears that the Florida Department of Health has finally caught on that they were duped by ApotheCure/NuVision and is now in the process to discipline (and possibly revoke) NuVision's license as well. Hopefully the Bureau of Enforcement doesn't mess this prosecution up the way they have done so many times before. If you recall, Paul W. Franck, R.Ph., owner of FRANCK'S LAB, INC d/b/a FRANCK'S COMPOUNDING PHARMACY (the same pharmacy that killed 21 polo horses and blinded humans) was allowed to close that pharmacy, but then re-open down the street under a new corporate name (Franck's Lab Inc d/b/a Trinity Care Solutions.
Without an effective Bureau of Enforcement, state Boards of Pharmacy cannot protect the public. Perhaps if the Bureaus of Enforcement actually inspected pharmacies, investigated complaints, and prosecuted them vigorously, we would never have had the NECC tragedy nor need a Federal Law about "outsourcing facilities".
Either way, the complaint filed by Dr. Woliner is enlightening.
