Question of the Day September 24, 2013, How big a hammer the FDA gets may very well depend on how much lobbyists spend with Congress to determine its size. Is that really what public safety and health should depend upon?

On article recently states: "How big a hammer the FDA gets may very well depend on how much lobbyists spend with Congress to determine its size."  Quoted from Fiercepharma.com/story/opposing-sides-bring-big-lobbying-guns-showdown-over-regulating-compounders/2013-09-24#ixzz2fpmfqv3r   Why we all know the answers to the question should be, "NO" our safety and health shouldn't depend on who spends the most on lobbyists.  It may be the hard, cold truth of the matter.  And that may be the same hard, cold truth as to why things in the compounding world have gotten out of hand and the ball has been dropped by all in the past--with not much enforcement of current laws on the books.  Money ultimately talks.  One can still have hope that because of the severe nature of this problem that all participants can come together, find the best, workable solution and do what is best and right for the health and safety of the public.
