Question of the Day: July 25, 2013 Should Insurance Compaines Be Required to Provide Coverage for Compounded Medications? How is it fair that the military tricare insurance right now covers compounded medications but some of the federal employees health insurance such as Blue Cross do not cover compounded medications?

Should policies be consistent across the board?  Should consumers have to pay more to have compounded medications be covered?  Are there certain medications that are compounded such as sterile injectibles that should be covered whereas compounded hormones should not?
