Inspectors from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration have issued an eight-page inspection report citing a Newbern compounding pharmacy for multiple violations of federal regulations after they found spiders in the clean room of the Main Street Family Pharmacy.
The citations from a series of inspections at the pharmacy come as the FDA and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that tests showed drugs compounded by the pharmacy contained bacteria and fungus.
