Are complaints suppose to be filed with the state boards of pharmacies and then if the states suspect manufacturing then the state refers the complaint on to the FDA? SO HOW GOOD A JOB HAV E STATES BEEN DOING AT COMMUNICATING WITH THE FDA and WITH OTHER STATES? I gave an example in a previous post of where I thought states were not doing a very good job--a complaint for a compounder who was manufacturing was not referred to the resident state, it was probably sent through the wrong channels at the FDA and never landed in the right place, and the state never followed up with the FDA. So maybe before the House and Senate starts complaining that the FDA failed to share complaints they need to dig a little deeper into the problem.
