Most Hospitals Use Compounded Sterile Drugs, HHS Says


Law360, New York (April 11, 2013, 6:30 PM ET) -- An investigation into hospitals' use of compounded sterile drugs, following last year's deadly meningitis outbreak traced to a compounding pharmacy, found that nearly all hospitals use such drugs and that most get at least some of them from outside pharmacies, according to a report released Thursday.
