Hospital in Missouri Has Reported that It Received Products from NECC

Festus, MO (KSDK) - A hospital in Jefferson County received a product manufactured by a northeastern medical company that has since been recalled due to its ties to a meningitis outbreak.
Jefferson Memorial Hospital reported to the Missouri Department of Health it received the unnamed product from a hospital located outside the state.
The product was made by New England Compounding Center, the same facility where drugs related to the nationwide meningitis outbreak. The product itself has not been linked to the meningitis outbreak, but was nonetheless recalled.
Jefferson Memorial Hospital told the Department of Health and Senior Services that the product may have been given to a patient. The hospital has started contacting any patients who may have received the product.
No illnesses connected to the products distributed by the New England Compounding Center have been reported in Missouri.
