A second product manufactured by New England Compounding Center has been linked to another potential meningitis infection, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said today.
A steriod injection used for back pain from the Framingham, Massachusetts-based pharmacy previously has been tied to an outbreak of 205 reported cases of fungal meningitis in 14 U.S. states, killing 15 people, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
